Patience Is My Lesson

(A Wine Musing)

The hustle, the bustle.  Got to check my phone.  Did I just get an e-mail?  The boss expects me to get this done today.  My friends and colleagues are more successful than I.

The real and imagined pressures of our daily lives can be maddening.  But managing through it (and loving life!) is a matter of perspective.

Each of us is here to walk our own path.  It is meaningless…and incredibly frustrating…to compare your journey to anyone else’s.  You are unique, and you have one-of-a-kind value.

So, don’t waste your energy trying to be like someone else.  You are not missing the boat.  You are not being left behind.

There is no one else who can be you, and the world needs you.

And, your path through life is what it is.  It cannot be rushed.

Work hard, be kind and always hope for the best.  Take time to think.  Notice nature and the beauty in those around you.  Be grateful.  Be adaptable.  Be resilient.

Be patient, and be present.  Whether you’re solving a big problem at work, feeding yourself, exercising or folding laundry, what you are doing matters.  No task is more important than another.

Every moment in your life is a piece of the fabric that is uniquely you.
